Description

Harvesting the energy from base vibration through a piezo-electric transducer is an adaptable and an emerging technique in recent years. This paper presents a numerical study on a cantilever type energy harvester with an objective of quantifying the energy that can be harvested from vibration having a single frequency harmonic excitation and the effect of base acceleration on the energy output. Further, this presents numerical simulation procedure necessary to develop a deeper understanding on the performance of this harvester. (author)
