Performance test of Clover detector and BEGe detector
- 1. Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata (India)
Description
Absolute γ-ray efficiency curves were obtained for an unsuppressed Clover detector and a Broad Energy Germanium (BEGe) detector in the energy range Eγ ∼ 50 - 1400 keV, by placing radioactive sources at 10 cm and 1 cm from face of the detectors. It was found that the absolute efficiency of an unsuppressed clover detector is considerably higher than the BEGe detector. The summing effect for the unsuppressed clover detector in a close geometry setup is much less than that for a BEGe detector. (author)
