Containment vessels for nuclear power reactors
Creators
Description
Nuclear power reactors are contained in concrete or steel buildings which are to protect the environment against possible contamination due to an accident in the reactor primary circuit. The buildings are designed according to pressure vessel code requirements. Their overall dimensions make the use of high-strength steels unavoidable which may bring about some difficulties during stie welding of such vessels. (author)
