Lifetime of the 21+ state in 154Gd and deduction of the α coefficient for the 21+→01+ transition

Description
The half-life of the 21+ state in 154Gd has been measured as T1/2=1.184(5) ns using the fast timing βγγ(t) method. The high precision of the measurement allows verification of the calculated as well as the previously measured total conversion coefficient for the 21+→01+ transition
