Radiometric gamma-gamma testing of composite material properties
Description
Radiometric gamma-gamma testing of concrete-plastic composite strength properties by determining the pentration depth is proposed. The method consists in irradiation with narrow-collimated gamma-radiation beam at the incidence angles of 30, 45, 60 deg. In the case of each angle the distribution of γ-radiation scattered by sample is recorded using several collimated detectors. Attenuation factors for each incidence angle which are used to calculate the penetration depth with the help of regressive equation are determined. 2 figs
