The development of the LEAR control system facilities needed for the energy scanning and the extensions of the experimental zones are described. Software requirements/constraints as well as hardware constraints are described to give a comprehension of the limiting factors of the control system for the new machine operation modes. A short description of a closed loop control system for control of the ejected beam intensity is given
