Study of fatigue crack growth rates in stainless steels of 18-10 type

Description

The relationship between the formation of the crack tip plastic zone and the presence of the martensitic phase is examined. Their influence on the crack growth rate is investigated. The crack tip growth rate is particularly studied as a function of the two parameters: alloy composition and applied stresses

On examine dans cette etude, d'une part, la relation entre la formation de la zone plastique au front de la fissure et l'apparition de la phase martensitique et d'autre part, leur influence sur la vitesse de propagation. La principale grandeur etudiee est la vitesse de propagation du front de fissure, en fonction de deux parametres: la composition des alliages et les contraintes appliquees
