Vector analyzing powers of 1H(d,γ) and 2H(p,γ) reactions at E/sub x/ = 6 MeV

Description
The vector analyzing powers have been measured for the 1H(d,γ) 3He and the 2H(p,γ) 3He reactions at E/sub x/ = 6 MeV. The results indicate the presence of channel spin (3/2) capture strength. An M1 strength amounting to between 1 and 8% of the cross section is able to explain the observations if a significant s = (3/2) component is included
