Relaxed lattices for commissioning of INDUS-2

Description
Indus-2 storage ring is a third generation Synchrotron Radiation Source (SRS) of 2.5 GeV. The storage ring is in the final stage of the construction and its commissioning will start after few months. The Indus-2 optics uses strong quadrupoles and sextupoles. The lattice becomes prone to gradient and misalignment errors due to these strong quadrupoles and strong sextupoles. The strong sextupoles reduce the dynamic aperture. Thus it may become difficult to commission the lattice directly in this tight optics. So we should have a plan to commence commissioning with some relaxed lattices, which will be less prone to unforeseen misalignment and gradient errors and also have sufficient dynamic aperture. In this paper we present some examples for the relaxed lattice, obtained by linear and nonlinear studies. (author)
