FBR type reactor core

Description

Purpose: To tightly arrange fuel-philic substance assemblies in a laminated state in positions of fissionable fuel assemblies, where the power density is great, to flatten the core power distribution, and to increase the breeding function of fuel to reduce the fuel cost. Constitution: Fuel-philic substance assemblies are tightly arranged in a laminated state in positions of fissionable fuel assemblies, where the power density is great, and control rod assemblies are arranged at the center side and outside blanket assemblies at the outer side thereby to constitute a reactor core. The fuel-philic substance assemblies act as substances for adsorbing neutrons, and reduce the quantity if neutrons in the vicinity thereof to lower the power and flatten the power distribution, thereby to increase the breeding function of fuel and reduce the fuel cost.
