A surfeit of plutonium
Creators
Description
The problem now faced by the nuclear industry is what to do with a huge potential surplus of plutonium. This is expected to arise over the next few years from the dismantling of nuclear warheads and from civil reprocessing. This was the major issue at the Japan Atomic Industrial Forum (JAIF) conference, Yokohama, 8-10 April which is reported in this article. (author)
