Cooler for the magnetic limiter in a thermonuclear device

Description

Purpose: To improve the workability for the division or re-connection of coolant supply and discharge pipes and further prevent destruction due to electromagnetic forces. Constitution: Supply and discharge pipes in a cooling duct are coaxially disposed into a double-pipe structure with the former as an inner pipe and the latter as an outer pipe. Accordingly, when these pipes are cut or welded by rotating a robot around the double-pipe structure, a sufficient working space can be ensured since no adjacent pipes are present and the pipes can be cut or welded with ease at the portions to be divided. In addition, since these pipes are disposed coaxially to each other, no electrical circuits are formed and thus no substantial magnetic forces are exerted on the cooling device for the magnetic limiter.
