A time calibration system of large-area position-sensitive detector for intermediate and low energy neutrons

  • 1. Beijing Univ., Beijing (China). School of Physics and the DOE Key Laboratory of Heavy Ion Physics

Description

For measuring the energy of neutrons by the TOF (Time of Flight) method, a new method named 'measuring the absolute time difference' was presented to measure the relative time difference of all the electronics. The time resolution of this method has been studied in detail. A good condition for time resolution was concluded. The best time resolution could be less than 60 ps. (authors)
