Study of microhardness change of D-16 aluminium alloy after irradiation by nitrogen and hydrogen

Description
Examinations of D-16 aluminium samples exposed to plasma acting by impulses (duration 15μs) on coaxial plasma acceleration with cylinder electrode system (plasma beam velocity 15·104 m/s) are carried out. In the capacity of plasma-generating gases nitrogen and hydrogen were used. By methods of electronic microscopy and metallographic analysis the topography and microhardness changes of aluminium samples were studied
