Description

The conversion spectrum for the E1-transition in 110Ag with an energy ℎω=1110±30 eV is calculated for nine configurations of the valence band (VB) of the silver atom in the framework of the relativistic variant of the Hartree-Fock-Slater method. It is found that orbits of the 3s-4s range exhibit a very high stability (variation <or approx. 0.05%) of the conversion spectrum with respect to variations of the VB configuration of the atom. The spatial region of the formation of the probability for conversion of the 4p1/2, 4p3/2 and 4d3/2 4d5/2 orbits appreciably exceed the limits of a sphere of radius Ra0 (a0=5.29x10-9 cm). This means that one may expect a signi ficant influence of the chemical environment in the conversion spectrum notwithstanding that the calculation in the scheme of variations of the VB configuration for an isolated atom yields small changes in the decay rate (Δλ/λ <or approx. 2x10-3)
