Heavy-current pulse X-ray Kavkaz-300 apparatus for nondestructive testing

Description
A powerful pulse X-ray apparatus with the accelerating voltage of up to 300 kV, providing for 50 mR radiation dose per 1 pulse at a distance of 1 m from the X ray tube anode is described. Experimental results of investigation into characteristics of the apparatus as applied to testing materials, being equivalent by X-radiation attenuation to steel and aluminium are presented. Recommendations on the optimal choice of converter type, focusing distance, and operating voltage depending on the tested object characteristics, are given
