On the role of nontraditional energy carriers in electric power development
Description
Mathematical model and equivalent problem of linear programming for estimation of system efficiency of using new energy conversion technologies and nontraditional energy carriers in electric power engineering are considered. Particular attention is paid to simulation of the processes of energy conversion and storage. The combined use of hydroaccumulating power-plants, electrochemical accumulator and hydrogen cycles of energy storage is shown to have a noticeable economic benefit when solving the problem of load equalizing in promising electric power systems
