Thermal stability of the optically produced photostimulated luminescence in KBr-In and KBr-Tl at room temperature
Description
Thermal stability defects responsible for photostimulated luminescence (PSL) in KBr activated with In and Tl is investigated by means of special sounding regime where very low concentration of F centres are excited under F-excitation, but the main portion of F and A2+ centers recombine in thermally stimulated processes. It is shown that the main portion of PSL are destroyed in the region of the first TSL peak (Tm = 35-45 deg C). Mechanisms of destruction of the electron and hole (A2+) centers by the cation vacancies are divacancies and impurity-vacancy dipoles Ca2+Vc-
