Superconducting solenoid with a field up to 100kOe

Description

Specific features of the sectioned superconducting solenoid with a magnetic field of 8x106 A/m are described and the test results are given. The solenoid consists of 2 coaxial sections. The second section is divided into 5 subsections having independent current inputs. The sections are wound up with a commercially available superconducting cable HT-50 0.7 mm in diameter with a darcon isolation 0.005 mm thick. The magnetic field distribution along the solenoid axis is shown. The test results showed the solenoid to be stable in operation
