A programme to calculate the activation and the γ-dose rate of samples irradiated in a reactor
Description
The modular Fortran IV programme 'PROAKT' was written for the irradiation service in the reactor BER II. It is to calculate the activations of irradiated materials and their dose rates. The following data must thus be given to the keyboard of a terminal: irradiation time, decay period, thermal neutron flux, nuclear charge number and weight. The programme which can be processed on a PDP 11/40 (16 K core storage) under the disk operating system, version V08/02, has an overlay structure due to its large scope. It contains 9 subprogrammes besides the main programme which are summarized in a library, and 92 overlays in which the nuclide data are stored. On the assumption that all overlays contain nuclide data, storage space for 0.5 million 16 bit words is necessary for the loadable programme. The programme has been drawn up in the 'conversational mode' so that the calculated values are immediately available to the user. (orig./LH)

Fuer den Bestrahlungsdienst am Reaktor BER II wurde das modular aufgebaute Fortran-IV Programm 'PROAKT' geschrieben, das Aktivierungen von bestrahlten Materialien und deren Dosisleistung berechnet. Dazu sind die folgenden Daten am Keyboard eines Terminals einzugeben: Bestrahlungszeit, Abklingzeit, thermischer Neutronenfluss, Kernladungszahl und Gewicht. Das unter dem Disk Operating System, Version V08/02, auf einer PDP 11/40 (16 K Kernspeicher) ablauffaehige Programm ist, bedingt durch seinen grossen Umfang, Overlay strukturiert. Es enthaelt ausser dem Hauptprogramm 9 Unterprogramme, die in einer Bibliothek zusammengefasst sind und 92 Overlays, in denen die Nukliddaten der Elemente gespeichert sind. Unter der Voraussetzung, dass alle Overlays Nukliddaten enthalten, wird fuer die ladefaehigen Programme Speicherplatz fuer 0,5 Millionen 16-Bit-Worte benoetigt. Damit der Benutzer die berechneten Werte gleich zur Verfuegung hat, ist das Programm im 'Conversational Mode' verfasst worden. (orig.)Additional details
