Description
The article introduces the 'Nuclear Safety Standards' = NUSS program of the IAEA and the ISO/IEC program and other international programs for standardising the safety requirements of nuclear plant. The aim is to standardize the technical requirements for equipment and processes to such an extent that international exchange is freed of unnecessary obstacles and the required degree of safety is guaranteed globally. An IAEA initiative meets the general desire for coordination and summarising, which is aimed at the development of a high level 'Nuclear Safety Advisory Group'. It could develop a generally binding 'safety philosophy', which international standardisation programs could follow. (HSCH)

Der Beitrag stellt das 'Nuclear Safety Standards' = NUSS-Programm der IAEA vor sowie das ISO/IEC-Programm und weitere internationale Programme zur Vereinheitlichung der Sicherheitsanforderungen bei kerntechnischen Anlagen. Das anzustrebende Ziel ist, die technischen Anforderungen an Geraete und Verfahren so weit zu vereinheitlichen, dass der internationale Austausch von unnoetigen Hemmnissen befreit und global die erforderliche Sicherheit gewaehrleistet ist. Dem allgemeinen Wunsch nach Koordinierung und Zusammenfassung kommt eine IAEA-Initiative entgegen, die auf Entwicklung einer hochrangigen 'Nuclear Safety Advisory Group' abzielt. Sie koennte unter anderem eine allgemein verbindliche 'Sicherheitsphilosophie' entwickeln, an die sich internationale Normungsprogramme anschliessen koennten. (HSCH)Additional details
