On the possibility of spectral characteristic investigation and development of practical Cherenkov radiation source with 44.4A wave length
Description
Technique for determination of spectral characteristics of Cherenkov radiation (CR) near the K- edge of carbon absorption is suggested on the basis of data confirming existence of CR with 44.4 A wave length at electron passing through a carbon target. The technique is based on utilization of a monochromator of sliding incidence with a concave diffractionary lattice. Prospects of practical application of CR sources are shown
