Electron-polarised-photon coincidence experiments on the 31P state of helium
- 1. Rijksuniversiteit Utrecht (Netherlands). Fysisch Lab.
Description
Electron-polarised-photon coincident experiments were carried out on the helium 31P state excited by electron impact. The circular-polarisation measurements were obtained as a function of the electron scattering angle, at incident electron energies of 50, 60 and 80 ev, so as to study the orbital angular momentum transfer during the collision. The results are compared with previous angular correlation data, and with theoretical results. (UK)
