Isotopic correlation for accounting and control of nuclear materials in a fuel cycle
Description
Review is made to trace the development path of the isotopic correlation technique and indicate the possible areas of its application in the accounting and control of nuclear materials, i.e. in uranium enrichment, reactors, and fuel reprocessing. Large-scale activities both international and national are required to bring the ICT to the level at which nuclear facility operators and safeguard organizations may use it as a reliable means routinely. Then, the ICT will be used for whole nuclear fuel cycle, not fragmentarily in individual facilities. (Mori, K.)
