Comparison of ore formation characteristics of uranium deposit No. 34 to those of uranium deposits No. 611 and 6122

  • 1. East China Geologic Inst., Linchuan, JX (China)

Description

Volcanic-type uranium deposits in China are mainly located in southeastern China with the predominant mono-uranium subtype in ore composition. However, other types of uranium mineralization with complicated composition occur in this region too. The author makes a specific comparison of ore composition of uranium deposits No.34 to that of uranium deposits No. 611 and 6122, xiangshan uranium ore-field and discovers that these uranium deposits show basic identity in ore composition and belong to poly-element mineralization type characterized by the association of uranium with thorium, yttrium (heavy REE), molybdenum and phosphorus
