An overview of D-3He fusion reactors

Description
The methods of 3He production under Earth conditions and the prospects of its delivery from the Moon, are considered. Different approaches to D-3He reactors with magnetic plasma confinement of both open and closed types, are reviewed. The problems of safety, radioactive waste disposal are discussed; and the technical and economic parameters of the systems including the reactor generating 3He-fuel and power satellite-reactors with the D-3He-fuel cycle are estimated
