The role of the Environmental authority is to make sure that the environmental impacts are correctly taken into account in all projects, plans and programs submitted to the authority. The opinions and decisions of the Environmental authority apply to various domains, from nuclear energy to harbor works, including all types of infrastructures: railways, roads, energy facilities, urbanism, wastes and pollutions prevention etc. This report accounts for the Environmental authority in 2018. It presents the 107 opinions and 83 decisions issued by the Environmental authority, recalls the authority's intervention framework and methods, and provides a comprehensive list of handled files. Some particular cases are presented as examples. A second document presents the community of Environmental authority's regional missions, created in 2016 in order to express independent opinions on all plans/programs and to contribute to a better democratic operation in the preparation of environmental decisions. A detailed analysis of the 2018 opinions and decisions is provided with a recall of the operation and means of the regional missions.
