Description

The cell and photovoltaic module is typically represented by an equivalent circuit. The correct equivalent circuit modeling is nowadays an essential tool for designers and planners, for studies and optimizes energy in photovoltaic systems. However, the extraction of the equivalent circuit parameters is still a difficult task and typically requires experimental data and calculation procedures, generally not available for the user. This paper presents a new methodology, which enables the exact calculation of the parameters and electrical quantities, simple diode model with five parameters, obtained from the data provided by manufacturers in the data sheets of photovoltaic modules. Finally is showed the validity and accuracy of the proposed methodology, comparing experimental data and curves obtained by the manufacturer of a commercial module, with those obtained by the proposed mathematical model is checked.
