Problems and future views of radiological image analysis
Description
The evaluation by means of entropy analysis is a new approach which employs precision of measurement as the synthetic single-parameter descriptor in a nonlinear system. This new approach is widely applied to the psychological and the physical evaluation of radiological imaging systems. In this paper, it is shown that only the transmitted information can be used for absolute measurement of physical image quality. We have also tried to apply transmitted information to the evaluation of contrast resolving power. (author)
