Diversity of orientation transitions in DyxEr1-xCrO3 systems

Description
Spontaneous orientation transitions between the three main magnetic configurations are observed in orthochromites of the DyxEr1-xCrO3 system (χ=0.2; 0.3). Various orientation transitions in a magnetic field are investigated. The corresponding H-T phase diagrams are obtained. The mechanisms of the phase transitions are analyzed by taking into account the nature of the anisotropy of exchange splitting of the ground Dy3+, Er3+ ion doublets. the calculated Hx-T and Hz-T phase diagrams agree with those determined experimentally
