Description
The thermal conductivity of Li4SiO4 is found to be much better than all other ceramic compounds of lithium after Li2O (Li2> Li4SiO4> Li3TiO3 >Li2ZrO3). There are various types of method of preparation like sol-gel, solid state mixing, high energy ball milling etc for preparing Li4SiO4. In this article we present here the latest development in electrical properties of lithium ortho-silicate (Li4SiO4) with different microwave sintering at different temperature 800 °C, 900 °C and 1000 °C and conventional sintering (800 °C, 900 °C and 1000 °C) of Li4SiO4, prepared by high-energy ball milling technique (HEBM). It was found that microwave sintered samples has higher density, and electrical properties than the conventional sintered Li4SiO4. It is very useful for nuclear fusion applications
