Development of an ion exchange method for isolation and study of the chemistry of element 106 (Seaborgium, Sg) in H2SO4 and H2SO4/HF solutions using the study of model behavior of W as a Sg homolog

Description
Ion-exchange behavior of W, Hf and Sr as homologs of elements 106, 104 and 102, respectively, of U as pseudohomolog of element 106, as well as of Cm and Eu, in solutions of H2SO4 and H2SO4/HF was studied by tracer techniques. Static and dynamic characteristics of the elements studied were determined, depending on solution composition and ion exchange nature. Optimal conditions for separating element 106 (seaborgium) from daughter elements (Rf, No and Fm) and U pseudohomolog in one cations-exchange column with purification factor ≥ 105 - 106. Potential use of the anionite for concentrating element 106 and its separation from long-lived decay products is shown. Problems of the state of the elements considered in diluted sulfuric acid solutions and in the presence of strong complexing ligands are discussed
Abstract (Russian)
Методом радиоактивных индикаторов исследовано ионообменное поведение W, Hf и Sr как гомологов элементов 106, 104 и 102 соответственно; U как псевдогомолога элемента 106, а также Cm и Eu в растворах H2SO4 и H2SO4/HF. Определены статические и динамические характеристики исследуемых элементов в зависимости от состава раствора и природы ионообменника. Найдены оптимальные условия для отделения элемента 106 (сиборгия) от дочерних элементов (Rf, No и Fm) и псевдогомолога U на одной катионообменной колонке с коэффициентами очистки ≥ 105 -106. Показана возможность использования анионита для концентрирования элемента 106 и его отделения от долгоживущих продуктов распада. Обсуждаются вопросы состояния исследуемых элементов в разбавленных сернокислых растворах и в присутствии сильных комплексообразующих лигандовAdditional details
