On zirconium hydrides interaction with oxygen
- 1. RAN, Chernogolovka (Russian Federation). Inst. Novykh Khimicheskikh Problem
Description
Specimens of ZrH2O0.11-1.10 and ZrH1.-O1.14-1.90 composition zirconium oxodihydrides and oxomonohydrides, respectively, were synthetized to study phase formation processes within zirconium-hydrogen-oxygen system. Phase composition, crystalline lattice spacings, specific resistance and electron yield work were determined for each specimen. It is shown that one may observe metallic, covalent and ion bonds gradually transiting into one another within ZrH20-O2 system with oxygen concentration growth. 16 refs., 1 fig., 2 tabs
