Neutron irradiation effect on mechanical properties of EhP-838 and 316 type steels
Description
Specimens of EhP-838 and 316 type steels are irradiated in the reactor at 150 +- 25 deg C. Neutron dose with energy > 0.1 MeV constituted 2.5x1020 cm-2. Mechanical properties of initial and irradiated samples are measured in the temperature range from 20 to 750 deg C. Investigation results are discussed from the point of view of the comparative radiation resistance of the EhP-838 and 316 steels. A conclusion is made that after irradiation mechanical properites of EhP-838 steel in the temperature range of 20-750 deg C are not worse than those of the 316 type steel, and its radiation resistance is a bit higher
