Direct comparison of copper, silver, and palladium heat exchangers
Description
In order to consistently compare various metal powders used in heat exchangers for cooling liquid helium samples, five different miniature exchangers were constructed and tested between 7 and 70 millikelvin. Boundary resistances were calculated using the measured thermal time constants of the exchangers and available heat capacity data. 3 references
