Some applications of the Doppler-effect in nuclear spectroscopy

The basic physical ideas of the three methods based on the Doppler-effect to obtain information on nuclear lifetimes and special kinematical details method and the γ-line angular distribution method/ are described. The circumstances under which the methods can experimentally be applied are also discussed. (P.L.)
