The paper deals with the mechanism of extraction of noble metals including Ru by alkyl sulfides and sulfoxides. The data on their extraction capacity are presented. Interaction of these extractants with noble metal ions is considered. The data on thermodynamics and kinetics of extractable solvate complexing with alkyl sulfides and sulfoxides are presented in detail. Results of studies on extraction of chloride, sulfide and nitrite compounds of platinum metals by organic sulfur compounds are given
