The process of solid solutions decay in films of the CdS-CdTe system
- 1. Leningradskij Tekhnologicheskij Inst. (USSR)
Description
The process of thermoactivated decomposition of solid solutions in thin films of the system CdS-CdTe has been studied. It is established that thermodynamically unstable films of solid solutions CdSsub(x)Tesub(1-x) (0.1 < x < 0.9) above 573 K decompose with the formation of two solid solutions - α1 and α2. Degree of phase transformations is determined by the degree of structure dispersion and nonequilibrium state of initial films. The decomposition process proceeds most completely and with a high rate in films, prepared under the maximum nonequilibrium conditions
