Structure and properties of samarium hexaboride thin films

Description
Monocrystalline samarium hexaboride spray and deposition on polycore, quartz and mica substrates are used to produce films. Composition, the lattice spacing, films electric conductivity and samarium valence in them depending on sprayed layer thickness and substrate properties are studied. Conclusion on existence of sufficiently high stresses in films during spraying and on possibility of stress relaxation in samarium hexaboride due to variation of samarium valence is made
