Coordination compounds of zirconium and hafnium with dimethylformamide

Description
New coordination compounds of zirconium and hafnium with dimethylformamide (DMFA) of the composition: MOCl2x2DMFAx2H2O, MO(OH)(NO3)xDMFA, M(SO4)2x4DMFA, MOSO4xDMFAxH2O, where M=Zr, Hf are prepared. IR spectra of oxychloride, sulphate, oxysulphate and oxynitrate complexes differ considerably which testifies to the differences of the structure of these compounds. At the same time spectra of similar compounds of Zr and Hf are very much alike. Schemes of the complexes structures are suggested
