Health effects of radon from insulation of buildings
Description
Available information is reviewed on radon levels in buildings, health effects of radon, and increased exposure from insulation of buildings. If current estimates of health effects of radon are accepted, it is concluded that energy conservation by insulation of buildings would cause at least 10,000 extra fatal cancers per year in the U.S. due to reduced ventilation.
