Description
Temperature dependent x-ray diffraction studies were carried on MnTiO3. The evolution of the structural parameters as a function of temperature reveal strong link with its magnetism. The results indicate onset of the antiferromagnetic interaction well above the Neel temperature. The present studies will be helpful in understanding the multiferroic property exhibited by this system especially where hybridization plays a very important role
