Growth points in nuclear physics

This volume is one of a series whose purpose is to provide rapid up-to-date summaries of the latest work in the main growth areas of nuclear physics to supplement the regular text books. The main text consists of short summaries of new discoveries and ideas that are being published in Nature and the New Scientist, with introductory notes and references for further reading. This volume covers the area of nuclear reactions in three sections: (1) Nuclear forces and potentials (optical model potential, three-body forces and the spin dependence of the nuclear potential).
