Description
The dynamical theory of diffraction usually employs some approximations that, however, cease to be valid in some cases, e.g. if the Bragg angle is near π/2, at grazing incidence or at skew reflection. Some difficulties of the conventional dynamical theory of diffraction are analysed using the concept of Ewald's dynamical theory of diffraction. (orig.)
