Description
Preparations of sup(107+109)Cd2+ ions for biochemical use were obtained by proton irradiation of natural Ag targets followed by radiochemical separation of the carrier-free radiocadmium. The excitation functions for 0-35 MeV protons were investigated in order to optimize the conditions of irradiations. The typical metallobiochemical applications include long-term experiments on rats exposed to present environmental levels of Cd. (author)
