Description
The ground state cluster structure of the so called α-conjugate nuclei such as 24Mg is a subject of much interest because of the observation of heavy ion 12C-12C resonances observed at high excitation energies. According to Ikeda picture the energetics decide the cluster structure of the low lying excited state of such nuclei
