Description
In Xinjiang the work of irradiation process begins at 80s' and it has accumulated some economy in Xinjiang, especially introduces capital fund and enterprise, the requirement market of irradiation process is expanding. Promoting by market, farm produce, food, medicine, articles for medical treatment and chemical industry by irradiating have developed some scale. But the technique is embarrassed because the special climate in Xinjiang, lack of fund, government support and person with ability. During eight-five plan and nine-five plan, quarter varieties had acquired by general breeding combined radial mutation breeding, acreage reached 3 000 ten thousand acreage. Along with the development of science and technology and improvement of breeding level, new method of breeding is appearing. The syncretized technology will be developed if ion bundle, biology technology and spaceflight are used in breeding, which will combine with radial mutation breeding in the near future. (authors)
