Evaluation of long-term dust fallout measurement in the environs of the Temelin nuclear power plant

Time dependence is assessed of dust formation and the suitability of siting the fallout sampling points is discussed as are the seasonal variations of dust fallout in larger places in the neighbourhood of the Temelin nuclear power plant in the period 1971-1980. The results of measuring dust fallout in various localities of the South Bohemian Region show a logarithmic-normal distribution. A seasonal variation of the amount of fallout at the individual points was not unequivocally shown. The overall development of dust formation in the localities selected indicated a slight trend for improvement. (J.C.)
