Multiplicity of the statistical γ rays following (16O,xn) reactions

Description
The multiplicity M-bar/sub S/ of the statistical γ rays following several (16O,xn) reactions has been measured. A correlation between the total γ multiplicity M-bar/sub T/ and M-bar/sub S/ was found. This effect is attributed to an increase in the mean excitation energy above the yrast line with increasing angular momentum input
