Maintenance support system using portable information device and its evaluation

Description
The purpose of the present study is to develop an integrated maintenance support system, which has the functions supporting maintenance personnel in the field. The prototype system has been developed to demonstrate feasibility of the proposed framework. The focus had been set on the usability evaluation to examine interface usability and to verify the usefulness of the supportive functions. Through the scenario based evaluation and the questionnaire survey, the effectiveness and the usability of the proposed system has been confirmed. (author)
